Wax carving is an ancient jewellery-making tradition dating back over 6,000 years.
Starting with a lump of jeweller’s wax, you saw and file it down into the shape you require, much like a sculptor working with stone. The finished wax piece is then sent to a caster to be transformed into any metal you choose through the process of lost wax casting.
This lovely ring is a complete one-off and a truly stunning statement piece.
The ring was created entirely by hand from jeweller’s wax. First, I carved the ring band, before adding melted wax drip dots all over the surface to create its organic texture and shape.
This is a beautifully chunky statement ring, perfect for everyday wear, and would make a gorgeous thumb ring.
This ring is currently available in a UK size M, but it can be adjusted up by one size if needed.
