Hi! I’m Becky and I live in the beautiful market town of Bishops Waltham in Hampshire with my husband and my two young sons. When I am not at my little work bench creating, I enjoy being by the sea, beach combing, relaxing in the garden with friends and family and cooking food from around the world.
I have always had a love for jewellery, especially turquoise and natural stone and shiny silver, so I decided to start learning silversmithing as a way to make myself pieces for my larger than average fingers! My designs definitely lean towards the chunky, because that’s what I like to wear; but I am enjoying pushing myself to make different styles and settings all the time. I have always dreamed of having a small jewellery business and now my children are no longer babies, that dream has become a reality.
At the moment I am mainly using sea glass found on our local beaches or on the beaches near my parents home in Devon with silver to create rings, earrings, bangles and pendants. The natural, irregular shapes and colours really appeal to the my bohemian side. I also love working with Turquoise, Larimar, Malachite and Jasper, because I just love that no two stones are ever exactly the same - just like my jewellery! Each piece is completely handmade, using ancient silversmithing techniques, so no two pieces will ever be exactly the same. I also really like texture contrasts, loving the wobbly edges that hammering the silver creates and the mix of the matt sea glass and stones with shiny silver.
